Our history
Incorporated as the Tofino Board of Trade on April 15, 1929, under the federal Board of Trade Act—and renamed Tofino Chamber of Commerce in 1955—the Chamber is Tofino’s longest-running business organization.
Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing a variety of business sectors, the Tofino Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic, member-driven non-profit organization that supports over 350 businesses, community organizations, and independent professionals. As a proud member of the British Columbia Chamber of Commerce, we actively engage with the wider chamber network throughout the province to amplify our members’ voices.
With a shared commitment to economic growth and collaboration, our Board of Directors guides the Chamber’s strategic direction. Supported by an Executive Director and essential committees, we diligently work alongside community partners and all levels of government to advocate for Tofino’s business needs and services to help our members thrive.
