Tofino Ambassador Program
The Tofino Ambassador Program (TAP) is a FREE educational program that aims to build a strong and healthy community, encouraging a positive attitude among responsible citizens, improving community relations with visitors, and growing support for the diversity and well-being of area businesses.
Who is the program for? TAP is open to all local residents, including seasonal staff, newcomers and business owners. It’s all about Tofino – its history and first inhabitants, its ecology, its business community, its festival and events, and much more. TAP provides valuable knowledge of the area and tips for living and working here.
What courses are offered? Three courses were offered in 2016, including an Introductory Course, West Coast Ecology and Nuu-chah-nulth Landscape. For 2017 four courses will be offered - the West Coast Ecology course has been separated into two separate sections this year - with some revamping of the curriculum and exciting new components added. Please visit the Raincoast Education Society website to learn more about 2017 course offerings, dates and times.
How do I register? Visit the Raincoast Education Society's registration page to register.
Participants of the Ambassador course will receive an Ambassador Card. Show your card for discounts and benefits at many local businesses!
