Located in the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on the Esowista peninsula on the western edge of Vancouver Island, Tofino is a stunning, natural place. Bordered by water on three sides and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve to the south, this area is a wilderness lover’s paradise.
The Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations have called this area home for millennia. Opitsat, Ahousaht and Hesquiaht are communities in Clayoquot Sound.
Formerly a resource-based town dependent on fishing and logging, Tofino has become of the top destination in British Columbia, attracting thousands of tourists each year.
